"Agragati" is a registered non profit making Society since 1979 (Registration no: S/26356 dated 19-10-1979) and working in the field of rural development, awareness & income generations, empowering women, spreading education etc., in Amta-1, Amta-Il and Uday narayanpur blocks of Howrah district.

Agragati's quests for education started with New Dawn KG Primary School in 1988, subsequently Agragati Primary Teacher Institute (APTTI) in 2004, Ramkrishna Mandal Institute of Education (a B.Ed & D.LED college) established in 2014. Agragati Yoga Naturopathy Institute was established in 2017 by Agragati society.
In June 2021 our Governing Body felt the immediate need of a Nursing College at Rashpur specially on the COVID 19 pandemic backdrop and the Committee unanimously resolved to introduce B.Sc & GNM nursing courses from 2022-23 academic session. The Secretary of Agragati was bestowed with the full power & task of implementing the project at the earliest. A name of the proposed Nursing College was also finalised by the Committee as 'Agragati Institute of Health Sciences Nursing Education Unit'.
